Synth building at Factory 3

Our first DIY Synth Charity Build Day, followed by the Modular Synth Charity Auction, held on January 7 & 14 at Factory 3 and hosted by the Synth Club of Southern Maine, were a fantastic success.

At the Build Day, 30 people of all skill levels came to learn, share, build, and make music with modular synthesisizers. Through the afternoon and into the evening, the buzz of activity was accompanied by regular beats, hums, and melodies of electronic music resonating through the building.

At the Charity Auction on the following Saturday, the Synth Club auctioned off modular electronic synthesizer modules and complete synths, raising over a thousand dollars, with all proceeds going to Maine Needs. Club members shared their expertise with demos of a wider selection of synthesizers and fully-formed Eurorack setups.
