In this two-day class, you’ll start work on a full-color embroidery piece based on a photo or illustration, with a focus on color shading and creating lyrical line drawings with thread. (No drawing experience required!)
Beginners will learn how to use a hoop, select threads and fabrics, transfer the design to fabric, different stitching techniques, and finishing a hoop in different ways. Students with some experience will explore new techniques or dive deeper into the things you enjoy about embroidery. A hoop and all needed tools and materials are provided. Some homework is recommended, but not required, between sessions.
