Intro to Jewelry - Solder a Silver Ring in Portland, Maine

Length: 3 hours
Class Fee: $130

This hands-on workshop walks students through making a sterling silver ring from wire, start to finish. Students will measure and size a ring blank, then use a jeweler's saw, miter jig, and files to shape it before soldering it closed with a torch. From there, students will sand, polish, and apply surface-finishing and texturing techniques to complete a wearable silver ring. This is a great skill-building class for beginners or for anyone returning to the bench after time away.
