About the instructor:
Audrey Parker (drawing, painting) is an art teacher who loves to teach paper craft and painting. Her artistic practice revolves around creating realistic paper flowers, as well as watercolor paintings with elements of paper sculpture, focusing primarily on nature and our connection to it. She graduated from MECA in 2021 with a Masters in Art Education, and in 2019 with a B.F.A. in Painting and a minor in Art History. Growing up in rural Maine, Audrey has a deep connection to the natural landscape around us.
Emma Simard (stained glass) has been working with glass since 2021. She is currently apprenticing under 40-year stained glass master Jim Nutting, learning the art of antique restoration and repair. Emma loves a challenge more than most and is always looking for inspiration in the unexpected. When not in the glass studio, you can find Emma on the back of a horse, out to breakfast with her partner, or snuggled up with her cat and a good book.
